Yes, it's fantasy football time!

There was a first for me this year - all three of my leagues had live drafts. This year I'm doing:

CBS Sportsline - the IDI-FL, season 3. That's my corporate league, where I'm also running the league remotely for the first time since I'm on-site full-time now. We also switched from Yahoo! to CBS. I won this league last year. This year's team: The Kegerators.

Real Time Sports - return of the Green Eggs and Beer league, with a return of my team, I Beat Up Puppies. I'm still not a huge fan of the site itself, but the league looks to be more fun this year.

Yahoo! Fantasy Football - CamelBruisers Anonymous, my brother's annual league. This time we did an online draft. My team is the Preseason Highlights.

My take on the drafts:

IDI-FL: Ten man league this year (down from 12 last year). I set the draft order by having my coworkers randomly pick who would go in what order; I got the third pick. Given the fact that I was basically running back from a doctor's appointment, buying wings, pizza, and beer for the draft (as well as figuring out what people had done with the stuff in my cube), and trying to get things set up, it wasn't my best draft (also didn't help that it was first). We're playing with a different league setup - 1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 RB/WR, 1 TE, 1 K, 1 D/ST. My picks ended up at:

I've got a slight predicted edge over my first round opponent, the B52s, but I'm going to need to figure out which RBs or WRs to drop to bolster up for my kicker and my defense/special teams' byes.

Green Eggs and Beer: I got the third pick in this draft, too. This is a keeper league, and after my last place performance last year I kept my best player - Tom Brady. We'll see how things go this year. This is also a salary cap league, though I hit it perfectly ($225) I now need to dump one of my QBs since they're both on bye the same week. Grrr. At least we had good steaks and lots of beer with the draft. Asterisks mark starters.

CamelBruisers Anonymous: We did a live online draft this time, and it took less than an hour for ten people going 15 rounds. Amazing! Of course, several of the people couldn't be there, due to travel or work. We actually had three people with two laptops at our house during it, drinking Shiner Bock off our kegerator, so I had to log into Yahoo! with Firefox while my brother was on the same machine logged into it via IE. With the sixth pick this year it was a bit rougher on choices than the other drafts.
