Gaming applied to life...

heh. This was cute...

You'll notice, after you've explored the magical low level realm, of say 1 to 12, you'll have to start grinding through the teens - up until 18 or 19, and then the real fun stage begins but tops out around 29. After that, you exist in a period of time called QuickTime (Or as my father explained it to me) where there just never seems to be enough time to get anything done, and before you know it, another level has passed. I just hope it slows down enough so I can enjoy some of the "game" before the disconnect.

Or at least it was to me

Adventure Quest

I have a tendency to zip through quests and NPC dialogue. So, its no surprise to me that I've a guardian dragon. I just don't remember getting him. He pops into fights at his own whim and always has some witty remark or menial complaint. He would be far more useful if I could call him when he was needed. So did I miss that part where he entered my service or will I find out later why he's been bailing me out of fights?

Adventure Quest

I'd like to blog on just one aspect of the game at a time but within an hour I've found some amazing things. No, I'll continue stringing you along and just tell one part each time. In the beginning Adventure Quest seemed to be done in an arcade style. I am amazed to discover that you can own a house within the game. Right now all I can afford is a tent. You clear an area of land by killing all the monsters and then you pay an NPC to build your home. The most grand of the styles offered is a castle. To decide which one you might want you can tour the miscellaneous models. While models are shown fully furnished you need to purchase your pieces from the furniture salesman located right next to your relator. I'd show you my home but I haven't one yet. I'm saving my gold for a nice log cabin.

Adventure Quest

Hi Everyone! Its Kryu again! Today I stopped by the pet shop and bought myself the most adorable penguin. I'm going to name him Fred. I think his purple eyes are just wicked cool. While exploring and generally grinding experience I somehow ended up at the bottom of the ocean. I swear I was just as shocked as you are. I'm so glad I had Fred with me. My red hair must have been visible from a distance. There were all sorts of sea creatures that came by. Most of them thought I was dinner. Laws of such and such aside, I managed not to zap myself as well when I shot lightning at the bad piranhas.

After my hair was dry I took my firewolf out for a walk. He is always jumping at things. This time something jumped at him. It was a rat. A huge rat. We chased him off but then we got ambushed on our way back to town. All pun intended since it was an Am-Bush!

Back in town I checked to see if I was needed anywhere. Just now theres no war going on so I'm off to treat my lovely pets to some cookies. See you guys later!
