FlyFF - News news

I haven't been playing FlyFF recently. Been caught up with other games and with trying to fix my back.

So, while I was off from FlyFF for two weeks, there's been some new stuff happening :

New servers are coming up to help ease the traffic on the existing 2 servers. There's a forum poll going on at the moment for a new server name (must be named after a mob). A good suggestion was naming it Bang server (!!). Very cliche but apt as well.

New clothes in the Shop. Futuristic Military uniforms for both Males and Females. The guys look kewl but the ladies look like Herr Fraulein.

There's also talk about limited items for the FIFA World Cup Event. Nothing yet so probably will happen in the next few days or weeks. Until then, just have to sit tight and wait.

Inner Energy Part II (And I live to tell the tale)

It's been 12 days since my visit to the Chinese Physician "Handsome Sim" (as he keeps reminding me). So, today was my 2nd visit. This time, he concentrated more on massaging my lower back and legs. And, as usual, I was shrieking and moaning away. My cousin who was with me, had a hard time keeping her laughter quiet (sneaky thing).

Now, in a little corner, this little boy kept asking his granny why is that lady shouting? She replied that it was painful, painful, painful. But he still kept asking and his Granny got frustrated that she went to call his mother came back.

Anyway, to help with the sore muscles that are sure to surface tomorrow, I have armed myself with a bottle of healing Ginger Oil from Sifu Sim. It's a yellow solution that contains ginger roots, methyl salicyate (can smell it) and some tumeric.

Here's hoping that I can actually get out of bed tomorrow. I couldn't do that after my first visit.

FlyFF - Wah! Bad bad move!

You know, I wasn't careful when I was power leveling with a friend? We were in a party, he was a level 51 Mage and I was a level 34 Assist. We were in Darkon getting into some serious business of whacking level 57 Monsters (Drillers actually). I was also helping said Mage to get to Advance Party so that he can form a guild. By the time we did manager that, I had leveled all the way up to a Level 36 Assist.

Which was ok on one point. I was saving up on a lot of penyas on food just to get up to that level. On the flipside, I had to drop one quest because I was too high in character level! Argh! So, let's see, I lost the chance to earn 33K penyas. For the remaining quests, it's actually quick dicey at the moment. I have to whack something like 20-30 monsters before I get the drop for Moonstones from RockMuscles. Being that high level, I can AoE about 6-8 monsters with no problems. Another bad side is all the potions I'm taking to increase my FP. Not cheap but at this rate, the penyas are making up for it (sorta).

Or, I could just forgo all the quests together and just power level up. Sigh. Choices choices.

FlyFF - Oohhh...party...

Party party!

Surprise surprise, got invited to an Advance Party. It was either do or suffer through long time of leveling by myself and I was starting to get very tired of that very fast.

So, with this group of 8 guys, I leveled a level every hour on monsters that I doubt that I would have survived. So, gain 2 levels with them! Woot! The guys were great to do that for little old me. Especially with some free gear and penyas too.

What level am I? Well, before the party, I was stuck for a really long time on Level 30. Now, am Level 32 and hopefully will be levelling faster. Then again, it really depends on the party. This one I was in, the leader had an interesting humour : Random Drop Distribution for everyone. Haha! Except for penyas being distributed evenly, everything else was random. Of course, some folks weren't happy and I don't blame them. Sometimes, the drops are so tempting that you just want to take it. Each drop is worth oodles and oodles of penyas.

So, err...ho hum. But still, it wasn't so bad. Some of the members went to knock themselves out in bed. Me, I went to party with someone else and ended up with some great goodies so very very happy! :D Free equipments : 2 knuckles, 1 wand, 1 fast broom! Some penyas too. So, in total, leveled up from Level 30 to Level 34, especially the last 2 levels in just one hour. Now, is that good or what? :D

FlyFF - News flash!

Posted on their main website today.

Gala-Net Interview On WarCry Network

In anticipation of the imminent launch of Space Cowboy Online, The WarCry Network recently took the time and conducted an interviews for Flyff and Space Cowboy Online.

WarCry: Are there any major expansions or upgrades planned for Flyff?

Chris: In early summer, we plan on adding a large content patch to Flyff. Here is a brief glance at what is planned.

1. Flying Combat

Flyff's flying system is the most important and what attracts most players to first play Flyff. However, at the moment, unfortunately, the flying system is not fully developed. While there is "some" aerial combat, the feature is mostly used as a simple means of transportation, when the possibilities could be endless. With that in mind, we realize that this is not enough, and so, in the future, you can expect us to expand on taking advantage of the flying system to give players more aerial-based adventures with a realistic struggle for the acquisition of power, featuring huge airships, for a unique, never-seen-it-before-experience.

You can read the rest of the interview here.

FlyFF - Penguin Humour

Saint Pang, Saint Morning Lodelight

Saint Pang the Penguin :

I will see you again when you are dead.

He sure does have a dark sense of humour. Saint Pang is at the Lodelight in Saint Morning. It's a resurrection point should you end up dead from fighting monsters. I definitely do not want to see him that often!

Now, this little Assist is now on Level 30 where monster grinding is starting to take it's toll. Killing a Level 32 Captain Gigglebox only lets me increase my EXP count by 0.46%. So, to get to the next level, I'd have to go through 217 Captain Gigglebox. Oooppsy Daisy!

There is a faster way but it's not a "nice" way. This is to party with a lower level character where you (having the higher level) would literally steal all the EXP points from your partner and your partner will have none. Seems that this is the ugly side of partying. That's why I tend to solo. What some folks do is they actually pay the lower level players penya to party with them. Some folks do con others to party. But me, I still prefer to solo at this point. Parties are for higher levels when things get tougher and I earn more.

FlyFF - The big bluff

This incident will definetely teach me to check before I leap. Because the buckets were priced at 20K a piece, I went and bought two to finish the last bits of my seedlings.

Only to find that PuPang the penguin is no longer around. Urgh. No penguin, no seedling, no chance of a surprise gift.

Remember folks, greed doesn't pay. And, there are still players around asking for money for the last buckets. At least seeds can be eaten but buckets are pretty much useless.

There's probably millions of penyas (FlyFF currency) zipping away into people's pockets at the moment.

Let's see what will happen next, whether Gala-Net will bring back the penguin only to the goods people had. Unlikely but you never know what the complaints from the masses will do.

But without the official forums, there's no way to post this. o_O
